How to Participate

Once you’ve confirmed that your home is located within Oncor’s service area and served by an Oncor electric meter, and determined if you will be eligible for incentives, you can follow these steps to a more comfortable home and reduced energy usage.

Step 1Select a certified contractor.

Step 2 – Have a certified contractor perform a home performance evaluation, including a consultation, an inspection, and installation of no-cost improvements.

Step 3 – Receive a presentation of findings and recommendations, including a Home Performance Evaluation Report from your contractor.

Step 4 – Sign a contract with the contractor. Also take advantage of up to $1,500 in cash incentives or third-party financing for qualified energy-saving home improvements. Your contractor will assist you with completing your financing application and becoming eligible for third-party financing.

Step 5 – Complete the installation of your energy efficiency improvements by your contractor. The contractor will also perform final tests and close out the job. This is when your payment will be due.

Step 6 – Receive your Certificate of Completion.

Step 7 – If you selected cash incentives, you should receive your incentive check within 4–6 weeks.

Don’t forget to share your experience with neighbors, friends, family, and coworkers.
